I then said that I'd like the try them on at home. At that point Grace seemed agitated...she huffed and puffed as she stormed back over to the shopping cart she was guarding in front of another checkout line. It made more sense to me to finish checking out rather then having the young male cashier void my purchase, cut the zipties off, and walk all the way back to the shoe dept to sit down and try them on. I then apologized to the male cashier because I was honestly embarrassed she was talking to both myself and him in such a condescending way. She then repeated across two other check out areas with multiple customers in between "we have scissors here!" I assume in response to my apology to the other cashier. She was very aggressive and her attitude was completely uncalled for. I literally just stared at her in shock.
What a horrible example you set for your employees. And what a horrible way to speak to another human being, let alone a paying customer. As a "manager" you should be embarrassed for acting that way. I've never had a bad experience in this DSG location until this night.
Dear Grace,
I made a purchase in the store on 12/31 on a whim. I happen to walk through the DSG entrance since it's the most convenient spot to enter the mall to access the stores I need. As I was walking out- I picked up a pair of Nike's since they were on the clearance table in the center of the aisle, they were my size but I wanted to try them on. I noticed they were zip tied at the top lace holes- which obviously would make it a bit difficult to try on an walk around the store. No biggy. At the register I asked the cashier (a young male) if I could return these shoes if they didn't fit properly since they were ziptied and I wasn't sure if I was able to return a clearance item after purchase. The boy said he wasn't positive and he'd ask his manager (Grace). She happened to be a stones throw away. The cashier and I told Grace the situation with the zipties (which I was not at upset about in the slightest) and I asked her if i could return them if they didn't fit properly (post cutting off the zipties). At first she rolled her eyes at me then said something along the lines of "yeah, you can return them; but we have scissors here". Her tone was extremely rude and completely uncalled for.
Great store! Lot's of inventory with good prices. Customer friendly and very helpful staff. Additionally, staff seem to be quite knowledgeable regarding product information .Store is clean and a pleasure to shop around.
I stopped at this location while traveling back home. I bought some stuff for snowboarding, and when I got home I realized the cashier never put one of the winter headbands into my bag. I called immediately and they confirmed that it was still at the store. I asked it be mailed to me, since I live hours away from the location.
It is going on four weeks and I still have not received my headband. I have called three times. The second time they actually had the nerve to tell me that they mailed it out a few days ago. After another week and a half, I called again. They told me they forgot to mail it out the last time, but that it was mailed out, again, "a few days ago." However, the manager read me my address immediately after I asked, so I am guessing she had the package still sitting in front of her.
Deal of the day, I came at precisely the right time...53% off...I got $318 dollars worth of items for just under $225
Waiting a month for merchandise you have already paid for is a pain, but being lied to is something else. It shows the immorality of the store staff and lack of concern for their customers. If I don't receive my property in the next few days, I will unfortunately have to get the police involved for theft. I have never had such an issue with a store before. By the time I get my winter headband it will be spring! Simply unbelievable.
Fantastic customer service!
Bought a kayak on the last day of their boat sale. Picked it up the following day but when I got it home and unpackaged it , I noticed that the hull was caved in on one side. I went back the following day and decided to exchange it for a different model but got to the store and realized I forgot my receipt. Not only did they work an exchange for me without a receipt, they honored the sale price on the new kayak as well, and even apologized for the inconvenience of the damaged kayak. From the manager to the cutomer service rep to the sales associated that ran around the store retrieving kayaks for us, it overall was just a fantastic experience!
