TOPS is NOT A CLOTHING STORE! This is a small grocery store, well stocked, great sales prices, discounts available.
A bit pricey but if u only go in and buy the stuff on sale your good.
Tops location is very nice selection of products. The staff is nice and able to help find items you need. They have butchars and bakery which also serves subs and cold pastas.
I recently gave Tops in Adams 4 stars. This is nothing against Tops in general, and I will continue to shop at their other locations. I was out running errands in watertown and decided sinceI was close by to tale care of my grocery shopping here rather than drive all the way to Lowville where I normally shop. This was a mistake. The store is in a good, convenient location and was fairly clean and we'll maintained for this type of store. The store was not very busy. However, it was hard to move through this store due to stocking carts either from vendors or store employees were blocking many aisles. Many sale items like their Lean Cuisine, Chex mix, cereal and bagels were sold out of most varieties. Their were at least 3 items listed in the ad as being on sale, as well as being the listed shelf price, that rang up wrong (noticed when I got home), which cost me almost $15. When I got home attempting to take my groceries upstairs was a hassle due to bags ripping. I don't like to take more than one trip to get my groceries, and don't remember the last time had to take more than 2. I had to take 5 trips due to carrying loose items. I have never experienced a worse job off bagging. Easily one of the worst experiences of grocery shopping I've ever had.
Small but friendly grocery store with a good supply of basics and a helpful staff. No need to rush across town to the big box store for milk and bread as prices are comparable. Save that for when the need for buying bulk for the month comes up.
