We are long time customers of Massey's. We purchased our bedroom set there years ago, and our mattress there a few years later. We've always been very happy with their customer service and like that we're patronizing a local business. We've been looking for new living room furniture for years, but never really found anything we liked. We stopped at Massey's recently and the salesman was very helpful in finding us exactly what we wanted. He wasn't pushy at all, and showed us a number of different couches that met all the parameters we were looking for. The set we ended up purchasing was delivered 2 days later. I would highly recommend this store. Don't let the outside fool you, they've got great furniture at great prices. Shop local!
Masseys is by far the biggest mistake you could ever make. They are nothing but rude and disrespectful. A few years ago we purchased bunk beds for my children, and they put them together completely wrong. We stupidly made the mistake of going back an purchased a couch from them. At delivery they just threw the pieces in my living room, alone with the entertainment center, and coffee table. Mind you I have 3 children and this is a complete hazard. This was a month ago and the cushions are already sinking, the base has broken, and this was only a month ago. When we are in contact with them Ruby is the most ignorant person on the planet. She is rude and disrespectful. She was yelling at me over when to re-deliver the piece that had to be fixed after just a month. I had said I would be there between 11-2, 3 different days. They show up at 3 pm. The exact time I'm at the school getting my children. Ruby thought this was funny. Ruby also laughed at the fact that I wasn't married. They say I wasn't working with them, but apparently my family demand isn't acceptable. As a manager, I am even more DISGUSTED at how they treat people. I had asked to talk to Shawn Massey but apparently he's not able to handle anything with customers. When we were there he was sitting right on a computer but couldn't get up and talk with us.
I go in with my husband and the first guy we work with is uneducated about the product and offers no information on it. Just sells it. Later, we find out that the free delivery we were offered (as a "military discount") was actually their basic delivery that doesn't include anything being put together. We also learn that the tables we wanted can't be ordered. We found this out like 3 weeks later.
So, I've been lied to multiple times.
Not Military friendly apparently.
Lack communication.
The furniture itself (or at least that I have recieved) is nice. But since the store doesn't build, only sells, the furniture, it should be graded on service. Which has been awful.
Do not shop here. They may be cheap, but there is a reason.
I must say I have had great experiences at Massey's. I have shopped there for 25 plus years. Received what was ordered and it was delivered when it was supposed to be. I found the staff to be friendly and not overbearing and pushy. The delivery people for the sofa, chair and tables were very pleasant. The mattress came on a different truck and I was very unpleased with them. One of them was a jerk and I thought was very disrespectful. But unfortunately that is the mindset of a number of people in today's work force. Mr. Massey is very pleasant and in my opinion goes above and beyond to keep his customers happy. You are not looked at as a one time sale but as a person. I will continue to take care of any furniture needs I have at Maseys. Thank you for the excellent service.
Horrible experience! I would never recommend this place to anyone. All they do is rip you off and steal money from you! I am trying to pay my couch off but they will not let me without finishing out my contract. Then they want me to pay an additional 600 to even keep the couch, after my payments are done! I was very mislead during my visit there. And I have to now pay 2500 for a 1000 dollar couch.
Now my husband recieves a call asking how our new furniture is. He tells them we are still missing items and they act like they have no clue and will look into it...
Lack of knowledgable employees.
Lack if taking responsibility for their mistakes.
I suggest you find another store to do any sort of business with.
We go back in to get new tables picked out and are told the guy we worked with was fired. New guy offers to help pick out new tables with us and get them ordered. Several weeks later AGAIN we learn, after talking to a manager, that he never put in that order and it will now be several more weeks until we can get them ordered. After them almost being unable to find anything about our purchase of tables. So... they were gonna try to say we never bought any and wouldn't get them at all.
